Universal Acquires Geronimo DVD Rights

According to Animation Magazine, Universal Studios has purchased the tights to distribute the Geronimo Stilton Season 1 DVD in the European countries of Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and Benelux.
Universal has a long history of releasing children's television and movies to DVD, having previously released such hits as Curious George, Barbie and Maisy.
Still no word as to who will air the Geronimo Stilton cartoon in the US, though with the news that it will be screened on Radio-Canada, an announcement can't be too far away.

I don’t know when the Geronimo Stilton cartoon will be coming to the US and Canada, either, but it’ll be sometime in early 2010 according to the cartoon page.
Also, I wonder who will get the rights to release the cartoon on DVD in the US and Canada?
And that intro for the cartoon looks it was cropped from widescreen dimensions, as the trailer for the cartoon is in widescreen.
The show will come in the US shortly in 2011 or 2012.
