Geronimo Stilton DVD Vol 1: 1st Season

As of August 2010 you can order the DVD  from Amazon Canada's website for a great price. Its regular retail is $16.95 but Amazon have it for alot less than that.

It is a 2 disc set that spans the first 13 episodes of the 1st season of the cartoon and runs for a whopping five and a half hours.

• AUGUST 2010--->English Language DVD available to purchase at Amazon Canada

• It has been a long time coming, first announced some 6 years ago!
• The cartoon is being made by Moonscoop Group and Atlantyca Entertainment
• The first season will feature 26 half hour episodes
• The series director is Guy Vasilovich (Growing Up Creepie, Treasure Quest, and ChalkZone)
• Release date is slated for late 2009 in Europe and early 2010 for the US
• There will be toys and related merchandise to accompany the release of the cartoon licensed by Giochi Preziosi
• Nickelodeon bought the rights to televise the Geronimo Stilton Cartoon in many European countries.

The Characters

Geronimo Stilton
In the series Geronimo has inherited the media empire of his Grandfather. He is not only the Editor-In-Chief of the humble Rodent's Gazette but a multi-millionaire media magnate.

His love of knowledge is his main strength in the cartoon as well as his sense of ethics and morals. He is still a bit of a klutz and this will no doubt be the main source of humour for the series. Geronimo will not be wearing his glasses in the cartoon series.

Benjamin Stilton
Benjamin is 12 years old in the cartoons and described as a "near-genius" at computers and electronics.

He is dynamic and perky though a little impatient at times and loves skateboarding and sports as much as he loves computers.

He works with Geronimo at the Rodent's Gazette, running a computer news blog after school. He likes to come up with funky sayings such as “We’re on the crazy train to Cheese Town!” 

Thea Stilton
Thea is Geronimo's younger sister and is the complete opposite of Geronimo when it comes to adventure. She loves it almost as much as she loves riding her motorcycle or flying her plane.

A special correspondent for The Rodent's Gazette Thea is always on call to transport the team to new adventures and is always ready to jump into action.

Trap Stilton
Trap is Geronimo 's cousin, even if sometimes Geronimo wishes he wasn't. Trap doesn't work for the Rodent's Gazette but travels along with Geronimo when he is called on.

Trap is a bit of a joker and loves to play tricks on people, especially Geronimo who he considers to be gullible.
Trap has a big heart and he doesn't play jokes to be mean.

Geronimo thinks Trap should join the real world.
Trap thinks Geronimo should lighten up.

Pandora
Known as Bugsy Wugsy in the book series, Pandora is Benjamin's best friend. Pandora is very enthusiastic about the adventures that Geronimo travels on and often she comes along for the ride.

She likes Thea because they share a similar high-spirited enthusiasm for life. Pandora also likes to play jokes on Geronimo so she and Trap get along really well.

Pandora has a tendency to get distracted easily and it can lead her into danger.

Sally Rasmaussen

Sally Rasmaussen (known as Sally Ratmousen in the books) is the main antagonist in the cartoon. She owns a newspaper known as The Daily Rat, which is The Stilton Media Group's competitor.

Sally appears as the primary cause of trouble for the Stilton crew when they are in New Mouse City and has a personal grudge against Geronimo Stilton.

 

Simon Squealer

Simon works for The Daily Rat with Sally Rasmaussen as his overbearing boss. Simon would do any dirty business for Sally, not because of dedication to the story, the company or to Sally.

Simon protects his job at all costs and is known to go to great lengths to dig up dirt on famouse mouse in New Mouse City.

 

Now he oversees Geronimo's operation of his company and knows exactly the way he wants things to be. Every now and then (when Geronimo least expects it) he will drop in to the Gazette to check on how Geronimo is going. Invariably hilarity ensues!

101 - OPERATION SHUFONGFONG
When a pair of rare lizards, with the odd name of Shufongfong, are stolen from the Museum of Mouse City, Geronimo suspects that the sudden visit of the Prince Noguda is somehow connected. Geronimo leads our heroes into the wild jungle of Bandal, where he discovers that rare lizards are not the only thing that the Prince likes to collect .

102 - THAT SCOOP, Geronimo!
Why is it possible that Sally always beats Geronimo, lately? Despite Geronimo’s motto that “We always do our best”, it seems that every news story that happens, is always detected by his rival first. So when the anniversary of 100 years of New Mouse City arrives, and Geronimo finds himself having to hide and protect the Super-star guest of the celebration, the task is more difficult than expected. Will Geronimo succeed in his aim? And find out why his rival Sally is able to "steal the information" all the time?

103 – LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Geronimo was invited to visit the set of an action film directed by his old friend. The opportunity to write a great story, leads our group of adventurous mouse to the film set. But a series of unfortunate events hinder the shooting. Jack Star, famous actor and idol of Benjamin and Pandora, is ready to help our heroes, but Geronimo suspicious of him. Is Geronimo just jealous? Will Geronimo, with the help of Benjamin, Thea and Pandora to save the day?

104 - THE MUMMY NO NAME (Adapted from the book Geronimo Stilton, The Mummy With No Name)
At the Museum of New Mouse City strange things are happening. There seems to be a mummy at night roaming around the rooms of the museum and also during the day, scaring visitors. Geronimo is firmly convinced that there must be a logical explanation to all this, mummies don’t just get up and go for a walk! And Geronimo is always right, right?

105 - BARRY WHISKERS!
Sally Ratmousen has been kidnapped! Even worse, the kidnapper is none other than Barry Whiskers, an old acquaintance of Geronimo! Despite the fact that Sally is his greatest enemy, Geronimo can’t leave her in the hands of a kidnapper. Absolutely not! But things are not always what they seem and incredible twists and reversals lead up to a truly unexpected conclusion.

107 – PAWS OFF CHEDDARFACE! (Adapted from the book of Geronimo Stilton, Paws Off Cheddarface!)
Geronimo is really weird lately! Everyone, friends and strangers continue to complain about him for things he claims he never did. Between visits to doctors and impossible diets, Benjamin begins to suspect that his uncle has a split personality ... but what if it were simply an impersonator? What if there is another Geronimo who is going around causing damage? Who could be behind all this?

108 - THE ROUTE TO CHINA
When a mysterious, 40 year-old letter arrives at the home of Geronimo Stilton, our heroes can’t help but investigate. They discover that the letter is actually a map that will guide them in search of an incredible treasure. And while Geronimo, Trap and Benjamin follow increasingly mysterious clues that lead them to distant China, Thea and Pandora search to find out who was the true recipient of the letter.

109 – LOOK ME IN THE EYE!
Geronimo is working too much and now seems to be allergic to the word work. Concerned for his cousin, Trap employs a famous hypnotist, Rattami, to help him solve his problem. However, even after the visit, Geronimo is exhausted and suddenly New Mouse City and subjected to a series of bizarre and inexplicable thefts. Could the two things somehow related? What is Rattami plotting?

110 - THE GREAT TOURNAMENT OF THE TOPITSU WARRIORS
Geronimo receives a mysterious invitation to attend a unique martial arts tournament to be held on the very top of Peak Fur Mountain. Thea convinces him to go, but once there, our heroes find themselves involved in a series of strange disappearances. Where do the winners of each match disappear to? And who are the mysterious warriors plotting in the shadows? Between battles on the mat can Thea, Geronimo and Trap (who seems to be always running away from the local chef!) manage to cope with the situation?

111 - THE TREASURE OF BAFFONERO
Benjamin, traps and Tea are concerned that Geronimo works too hard. To detach him from the desk and computer, they decide to investigate the mysterious Puzzomostro, a monster with three heads that is infesting the port of New Mouse City. Geronimo is firmly convinced that there are no monsters and to prove to the other he agrees to follow them in the adventure. But once the port of New Mouse City, the situation gets worse and our heroes find themselves trapped by the cruel Captain Baffonero who needs a crew to help him in finding a lost treasure.

112 – MYSTERY ON THE RODENT EXPRESS
The reclusive Pensacisu guru, who lives on a remote mountain, has promised Geronimo an exclusive interview. Our heroes travel on a fascinating old train, the Rodent Express. But once on board, Pandora mysteriously disappears! As the train travels faster towards its destination, the search begins, and all the passengers are suspects!

113 – HOME SWEET HOME!?
There is much confusion in the house of Geronimo! Between work and commitments of all types, small household chores are becoming a real problem.  Geronimo feels it’s time to advertise to find someone who will help with the housework. He ends up with a robot handyman designed by Professor Paws Von Volt. At first it seems all a dream ... but is it really so?

114 - GERONIMO, IN AFRICA!
There are rumours amongst the watchman at the Museum of New Mouse City. Are there really spirits of an ancient African tribe who will come to claim a mysterious mask? Geronimo does not believe in this sort of thing and so journeys into the heart of Africa with Grandfather Shortpaws, to solve the mystery.

115 - THE RATTOBANDA
Checkmate, the world chess champion, is ready for his greatest challenge, to compare his skills in chess with an opponent considered almost unbeatable: the super-computer PC-1. Geronimo and Trap take advantage slow news time in New Mouse City and depart to attend the big event. But suddenly a series of thefts from the famous Rattobanda upsets the city, forcing Benjamin and Tea to investigate alone ...

116 – WHAT HAPPENNED TO THEA?
What is happening to New Mouse City? A series of thefts in the city's most chic shopping district seems to have no end. Who is the elusive culprit? And why has Tea has mysteriously disappeared? Sally Ratmousen does not lose the opportunity to insinuate that Geronimo’s sister is behind the trouble. It's up to Geronimo, Trap and Benjamin to unmask the real culprit and find Thea.

117 — LOVE IS TROUBLE!
Thea is sorry for the solitary life her big brother Geronimo leads. With the help of Benjamin she decides to enrol him in the secret marriage agency of Dr. Keep Asking. And after a series of improbable events, Geronimo seems to have found his soul mate, if only ...

118 — THEA, TOP MODEL
Felipolino, the most famous designer of New Mouse City, decides to disclose to Geronimo, and only him, the secret of her new collection. Sally, as always, attempts to get the news first. In the gilded world of fashion, with Thea as an undercover supermodel, Geronimo has to defend the secret of Sally Felipolino’s collection.

119 - ORCA
Geronimo and his family leave for a trip to the North Pole to study the phenomenon of melting ice. Travelling aboard a small fishing boat is not exactly luxurious, and the crew is not particularly friendly. Our heroes find themselves in the midst of extraordinary and terrifying adventure in the ice when a huge and majestic orca inexplicably attacks the boat. Only Benjamin’s intuition and sensitivity can save them...

120 – WHERE IS ALL THE CHEESE ?
The cheese is disappearing from all New Mouse Island and Geronimo is determined to find out who is draining the reserves of the city. But in the backstreets of New Mouse City, the investigation will become much more adventurous than expected! Who is really Marty Omelette? And has the notorious Al Ratton really returned to the scene of the crime?

121 – WHO’S SCENE?
One of the historic theatres in New Mouse City is in danger of bankruptcy and Geronimo, in an attempt to save it, decides to write a great piece of theatre for the last show to be staged. But strange things happen during the rehearsals and Geronimo, despite himself, investigates...

122 - IN THE GAME!
Benjamin and Pandora are invited, along with other kids of New Mouse City, to test a new, very exclusive video game in virtual reality. But while they play, they realize that not everything is what it seems. Ratzilla, the monster, is really a work of the genius Crostolo, and is Cyathium just a kid with too much imagination or is he here to help? It's up to Pandora, Benjamin and his uncles find out, in an incredible adventure in 3D!

123 - SUPERHERO
New Mouse City has a new superhero: the Grand SuperSauro! He appears from sewer manholes to help people in distress and rescue helpless old women. But how can he always be in the right place at the right time? And why Sally always arrives at the place of his appearance before Geronimo, stealing the scoop? There's something wrong ... and Geronimo is keen to discover what lies beneath!

124 – A RACE FULL OF PITFALLS
The Race Around New Mouse Island is on and Geronimo's old friend, Jacques Fromage, will compete against the champion sponsored by Sally Rasmaussen, David Blue Jacques.  But the racers are victims of accidents which become increasingly suspicious. Eventually Thea decides to compete but will she be able to reach the finish line safely, since the path is strewn with dangerous obstacles? And are all these accidents simply coincidences?

125 - A CASTLE TO THRILL
When Bubolino, Pandora’s hamster, runs away, she and Benjamin chase him through the streets of New Mouse City, until they end up at the mysterious Castle Zampasquit. To find the little hamster our heroes, with the help of Geronimo and Trap enter the castle, where they encounter many scares...

126 - BUT WHERE IS TRAP?
A mysterious professor has requested Geronimo’s participation in an study on intelligence but he is too busy to go so sends Trap instead. But something goes wrong and on his return Trap is not mouse he once was! Now instead of food and his stomach he talks about solar systems, the finite rules of karate and music. Our heroes must find out what happened and bring back their beloved Trap!

127 – A PASSION FOR TEA!
Geronimo has finally finished his latest book "The History Of Tea" and decides to take the manuscript to his publisher personally. But in an unguarded moment his briefcase is mistaken for another and a mysterious mouse ends up running away with it. But who is the mysterious mouse and why is did he take Geronimo’s bag? What's more, during the eventful pursuit someone else seems very interested in Geronimo’s every move...

In Italian of course but it includes the opening credits and theme song which is pretty cool. It appears to be from Episode 13: Home Sweet Home where Geronimo is having trouble keeping up with his housework so decides to hire a robot housekeeper from his friend Professor paws Von Volt.
