Geronimo is many things, but first and foremost he is a humble mouse who runs The Rodent’s Gazette, the most popular newspaper in New Mouse City.
He also writes adventures books because, despite his reluctant nature, he travels to all corners of the globe solving mysteries and helping friends in need.

Geronimo Stilton is also the pen name of Elisabetta Dami, an author who co-owns Edizioni Piemme, an Italian Publishing House that started publishing the Geronimo Stilton Books in the year 2000.
The Geronimo Stilton Books are the most popular children’s books in Italy, even outselling Harry Potter! Scholastic has published the English translations of the Geronimo Stilton Books since 2004 and continues to release them every few months.
A graphic novels series is also available and an animated television cartoon series was released in Italy in 2009 and will air in most other countries by 2010.
